It is useful for specialist applications such as some 3D printers where providing power results in undesirable effects.

Note that data transfer will not be possible with a power blocker in many cases, eg for smartphones, KVMs, USB sound cards etc. You can read through reviews on Amazon USA to get an idea of whether it will work for you.

This version supports USB 2.0 transfer. We do not offer a USB-C version since our testing shows it did not work with most devices.
