Description
This product does the opposite of our data blocker – it leaves the D+ and D- and ground (0V) lines untouched so that data can pass through, while blocking the 5V line which would normally provide power. It is useful for specialist applications such as some 3D printers where providing power results in undesirable effects.
Note that data transfer will not be possible without the 5V in many cases, eg between a cell phone and a computer USB socket.
This version supports USB 2.0 transfer. We are currently developing a USB 3.0 version, please email us to be notified when it is released or for suggestions.
